An introduction to blockchain

At the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (TIPS)’s Scientific Meeting held online on February 26, 2022, the topic of "An introduction to blockchain" was presented by P. Rahmani. In this meeting, blockchain as an alternative information system that mitigates the challenges exposed by the current double-entry systems was introduced. Later, different aspects of blockchain in health systems including data quality, financial reporting transparency, and real-time reporting in an environment that increases trust were criticized.
